We're a small independent production company based in the north of England. We started as a one-man operation in 1996 after university graduate, Richard Alexander, took a leap into the unknown, full of hopes, dreams, and a billion ideas! Nowadays, we're a diaspora of multi-roled professionals, with connections over many countries—we can make just about anything work!
Over time, there have been plenty of collaborations with other production companies and broadcasters in various UK and overseas territories. Hundreds of hours of broadcast programming have been created alongside newer streaming/OTT platforms.

The Founder:
Richard Alexander
The gaffer: In front & behind the lens
After graduating with a Degree with Honours in Electronic Communications & Media Communications from the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Bradford (in conjunction with the National Science and Media Museum), Richard Alexander launched a micro-indie production company hoping to compete in the cut-throat sectors of video, film and television.
After single-handedly creating dozens of promos and a minor-award-winning independent digital feature film, he originated and produced a pilot TV episode in a backroom setup—securing his first UK broadcast contract for 24 episodes of an entertainment show with Granada Sky TV. After winning the commission of several follow-up series, he hosted a current affairs show for a younger audience on UK terrestrial channel ITV1. In and amongst the hundreds of episodes created for a variety of broadcasters (in addition to the UK, also in France, Japan, America, Israel and Russia), he has directed, produced and featured in documentaries (both long and short form) tackling tricky subject matters such as coping with severe or terminal disease, and the complications between parents, progeny and relations, arising from advanced DNA testing techniques becoming widely available.
Comfortable and confident in front or behind the camera and familiar with an array of digital and physical tools, as well as a multitude of roles, over the last 25 years, Alexander (and his alter ego, Ricardo) have been pushing for perfection. Of course, he acknowledges he still has a long way to go in some areas, but it matters not how good you are; it's how good you want to be, right?
Despite having written and narrated most of the projects listed above, the upcoming release of a 180,000-word book is his first proper step towards a writing career he can pursue at the same time as indulging one of his most treasured combinations of pastimes; travelling with his dogs, meeting strangers and reading through a far-too-large library of interests. And instead of being chastened by the mammoth amount of time vacuumed out of everyday life over the last few years by the consuming processes of research and serious writing, he is happy to declare that the whole shebang is a firm favourite. That said, in addition to an insistence on reinventing the wheel, he's always been a slow learner, so who can really guess the nature of his next hybrid project—or how long it might take?
